COMMUNITY LEADER CALLS FOR 1,000 MEN TO MARCH IN ATLANTA’S HIGHEST CRIME ZONES

The 1,000 Men March is being called for all men of good conscience to march in 10 of the worst areas of Atlanta, in terms of crime and violence, as a demonstration of love, solidarity, and peace.  Unite or Die Campaign President, Zacharias H. Muhammad, called the march after God laid it on his heart, due to the serious, critical nature of the times, and because the men in our communities throughout the City of Atlanta and its metropolitan areas are not as present as they should be. Real Estate Guru Jay Morrison, NAACP Atlanta Vice President Attorney Gerald Griggs, former Atlanta City Council District 4 candidate Chris Brown, the Book Bank Foundation’s Tony Jackson, New Era ATL, YG Movement’s Julious George, K. Botchey, the Unite or Die Campaign, 360 We God and the 10,000 Fearless Headquarters of the South came together to form the 1,000 Men March Organizing Committee.

The march is being planned for Saturday, January 20, 2018—during the weekend following Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, to show honor to him, and all of our great leaders who have suffered for the rise and redemption of the oppressed.

We plan to begin at Morehouse College, a historical center of manhood in Atlanta, to gather and hold a rally with guest speakers. Afterward, buses will depart for a day of action across 5 counties within the Metro Atlanta area.  Participants of more than 1,000 men will canvass select blighted and underserved communities to meet, greet, and engage residents.

Participants will then return via bus to Morehouse College for a meal and to close out the day.

Doors open at 11:00 am, program will begin promptly at 12:00 pm

Location: Kings Chapel Morehouse College 830 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30314

There will be FREE male, female and children coat distribution with blankets as well on March Day. So spread the word to those in need to come by and get some warm attire.
